All members of the VCU community must attend an orientation prior to reserving the following equipment or spaces.
Makerspace
* Regular orientations to Workshop equipment and spaces will resume in late January 2025. If you are enrolled in a holiday intersession term class and need an orientation for a class-related project, please contact us at theworkshop@vcu.edu to schedule an individual appointment.
Faculty seeking class tours and orientations to Workshop spaces and equipment, please use the Class Tour/Orientation Request form.

- Epilog Laser Cutter/Engraver
- Sewing Machine
- Computerized Embroidery Machine

Individuals please register for the following orientations:
- Audio Recording Studio: Podcast (focus is more on voice projects)
- Audio Recording Studio: Music (focus is more on music projects)
- Simple Studio, a one-stop shop for video/audio production
- XRAM Studio: Immersive (focus is more on gaming and extended reality)
- XRAM Studio: Video (focused is more on camera, lights, streaming)
