Cabell Library suffered mild damage from a rooftop water leak over the Thanksgiving break that affected a few study areas on the fourth floor of the building. 

On the east side of the fourth floor near study retreats and the Faculty and Graduate Reading Room, some study rooms are blocked off with stanchions and signage. Study room reservations through the week have been canceled but it’s hoped the affected rooms will be open and available for use by Wednesday, Dec. 4.  Closed rooms are 400A - 400G; 426, 427, and 428. 

Water also damaged a third-floor conference room not open to student use and two librarian office spaces on the second floor. 

Facilities team members are working to repair areas speedily.
