Libraries participate in Health Hub’s hygiene supply drive Oct. 28-Nov. 30
October 28, 2020To help Richmonders experiencing financial hardship and housing insecurity, the VCU Health Hub at 25th https://www.vcuhealth.org/for-your-health/health-hub-at-25th is hosting a hygiene supply drive in partnership with the Richmond Public Library and others.
Donations will be accepted Oct. 28-Nov. 30. Campus collection box locations are: James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave.; Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, 509 N. 12th St.; Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St.; and VCU Police, 224 E. Broad St. In addition, in these distancing days, donors may mail or order materials delivered VCU Health Hub at 25th, 1330 N. 25th St., Suite A, Richmond, VA 23223
Travel sizes of these items are needed: shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, combs and feminine hygiene products.
The VCU Health Hub is a Richmond East End health education and wellness activity center. Our goal is to provide activities that promote individual and community health and well-being while learning together. All programs are free. They are delivered by VCU faculty, VCU and VCU Health staff and students as well as community partners. All programs are developed in partnership with the community, building on collaborative strengths to empower community members to improve their health and wellness.
