ChatInterlibrary loan and delivery services closes for break Dec. 21; Request materials now
November 29, 2018VCU Libraries' interlibrary loan and delivery services will be closed Dec. 21 until Jan. 2. Researchers are encouraged to submit requests early in December.
The time required to obtain materials from other institutions increases greatly during December and January due to winter breaks, holiday delays and increased end-of-semester workloads. Many libraries do not lend at all from mid-December through mid-January. So, prepare for delays on requests for materials.
Patrons will not incur any overdue fees for interlibrary loan materials that are due during the VCU Winter Break. Should an interlibrary loan item become due while the department is closed, simply return the item when the office reopens Jan. 2.
