VCU Libraries staff honored for more than 400 years of service to VCU
September 20, 2017At the Oct. 4 Service Award Ceremony at the Siegel Center on the Monroe Park Campus, 23 recipients from VCU Libraries will be honored for their service with the Commonwealth of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University. Together, libraries honorees represent a total of 405 years of service to the commonwealth and the university!
University Librarian John E. Ulmschneider encourages all to "please take time to recognize, congratulate, and thank our Service Award recipients."
He said, "I am proud of the tremendous record of service by VCU Libraries staff on behalf of Virginia Commonwealth University. I congratulate all of our recipients for their exceptional contributions to the University, and for the way they advance, each and every day, the lasting success of our students and faculty. I often hear from faculty and students about the great work of VCU Libraries' staff. It is our dedicated and talented colleagues in the VCU Libraries who keep us looking to the future and moving ahead to meet our challenges and opportunities in the best possible way. "
