The Innovative Media department welcomes VCU faculty to an open house in The Workshop on Friday, Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tour the newly-equipped space and learn about the resources and services offered. 

 

Try your hand at 3D scanning a colleague’s head. Talk to staff about integrating multimedia projects into your curriculum.  Create and etch your own design with the laser engraver/cutter. Explore 3D printing. Do some digital sculpting on our 4K multitouch screen.  Check out virtual reality and augmented reality in the videogaming/viewing room. Tour the new audio and video studios.

 

Staff will be on hand to introduce you to all our spaces and technologies, and refreshments will be served.
