Annual library open houses welcoming new and returning students to the MCV Campus will take place Tuesday, Aug. 18, and Thursday, Aug. 20, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, 509 N. 12th St.

Learn about VCU Libraries resources and services available both in the building and online anywhere you have Internet access. Stop by to meet the staff, see demos of library databases and equipment, tour the facility and see our collaborative spaces.

In other Welcome Week activities:

• On Wednesday, Aug. 19, visit the library table at the Orientation Fair at Larrick Student Center to meet with librarians and ask questions, see databases and search strategy demonstrations. Learn about Data Research Management and Innovative Media services, VCU's Scholars Compass digital repository and much more.  

• To stay in touch with the latest from the library and research news about the health sciences via our social media channels, follow @VCUTMLibrary on Twitter or Like Us on Facebook Aug. 18-20 for your chance to win a $5 gift card.  One winner will be announced each day. • Unable to attend the Open House? Visit Tompkins McCaw Library for informative, free tours that will help introduce you to study spaces, services and librarians. Tours are scheduled three times daily, 10 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. Aug. 17-28. (Meet in the vestibule, look for the sign.)
