Library Fest open house orients new students Aug. 17, 2-4 p.m.
July 17, 2015Library Fest kicks off Welcome Week Aug. 17
The annual open house welcoming first-year, new and returning students to Virginia Commonwealth University will take place Monday, Aug. 17, 2-4 p.m. at James Branch Cabell Library.
Activities include tours, sign-ups for a chance at prizes, opportunities to meet library leadership and hear details about the new library construction due to be completed in December 2015.
Stop by to:
- Tour the library at 2, 2:30, 3 or 3:30 p.m. (vestibule)
- Register your laptop with the VCU Police (first floor)
- Get oriented to library services and spaces
- Sample food from VCU Dining Services (second floor)
- Learn more about Special Collections and Archives and choose some free comic books (second floor)
- Collect giveaways and a get chance to win a pair of Beats Solo2 On-Ear Headphones.
