From the Star Wars No. 1 comic book to a pop-up guide to the galaxy, among the 175,000 items in the Comic Arts Collection of VCU Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives are hundreds of “Star Wars” comics, magazines, pop-up books, novelizations, fanzines, children’s books and more.

With “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opening on Dec. 18, VCU Libraries decided to dig deep into its collection in order to highlight a few of its hidden “Star Wars” gems.

University Public Affairs published an online magazine showcasing some of the collection.
