Libraries' poster series celebrates diversity, culture and identity
December 19, 2014In honor of February's Black History Month and Women's History Month in March and VCU's year-round commitment to diversity, VCU Libraries again is expanding its Diversity Poster Series.
The posters celebrate diversity, identity, culture and difference and refer to libraries' resources that can help expand knowledge and understanding. The posters are featured in library spaces and in other offices around campus.
New to the series this year are posters on arts, music, STEM, entrepreneurship and other topics.
Faculty and staff are invited to request one to hang in their offices or other public spaces on our campus. (Most resources cited on the posters require a VCU e-ID to access.)
- Fill out this form to request a poster: http://bit.ly/VCUposters
- See the posters on our Flickr stream. You are also free to download the posters from Flickr and print them for your personal or classroom use.
- Deadline for requesting posters is 10 p.m. Feb. 10, 2015
This project, in its third year, is a collaboration among all librarians on both campuses. It was presented at a 2013 American Library Association poster session. If you have ideas for future poster topics, please contact the VCU Libraries Communications and Public Relations Office (srobinson26@vcu.edu) or the librarians who serve your school.
