Charles Brownell, Ph.D., professor emeritus of art history at VCU, and Louise Brownell, registrar emerita at the Maryland Historical Society, return to VCU Libraries for another lecture on the historic architecture of the once glittering mansions on Monroe Park are.
Lost in the dark; many mansions that once glittered in the Monroe Park area have vanished into the shadows of the past. This presentation brings a group of these fallen mansions back into the light. The event will be hybrid (both in person and virtual). Following the lecture, tips will be offered for architectural treasure-hunting in the Richmond area.
