Global Game Jam at VCU Libraries

Description

Registration is required.

The event is a localized version of the  popular Global Game Jam (GGJ), a unique, free event held worldwide among game creators. Participants collaborate to develop original, experimental video games based on a secret theme.

This event is a partnership between The Workshop at VCU Libraries, RVA Games, Game Creators Colation, the Communication Arts Department, and the Kinetic Imaging Department.

Event Schedule

Friday, Jan. 31: Kickoff Friday, 6 p.m. 
Saturday, Feb. 1: Coworking space available from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 2: Final showcase 6 p.m. 

Special Workshops 

In partnership with the event, The Workshop has organized a series of beginner-friendly workshops for people curious to learn more about video game development. No previous experience is required.
