Description
Charles Brownell, Ph.D., professor emeritus of art history at VCU, and Louise Brownell, registrar emerita at the Maryland Historical Society, return to VCU Libraries for another lecture on the historic architecture of the once glittering mansions on West Franklin Street. Artistic Mansions VII features a look at poetic themes from literature and mythology. This year’s lecture will be hybrid (both in person and virtual). Following the lecture, the Brownells will offer tips for self-guided walking tours in the West Franklin Street vicinity.
